Tuesday ✎ Green [DW]
Mar. 17th, 2026 12:07 amToday's theme is green. Tying in Saint Patrick's Day, the Emerald Isle, or any greenery of spring isn't required. All prompts and fills must simply involve a green of any color or meaning.
Feel free to add specifics to your prompts, like whether you'd prefer a gen fill over something shippy, or if you have a squick or trigger you hope to avoid. Original fiction, fanfiction, and fanfic crossovers are always welcome. ~_^
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and the fandom's full name
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here. Unfortunately, DW doesn’t have a cut tag, so use your best judgment when it comes to spoilers.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get things started...
+ Leverage(/Leverage: Redemption), any +/ any, wearing green on Saint Patrick's Day
+ The Pitt, any +/ any, treating someone who suffered a minor injury at a public garden or park (perhaps someone they know?)
+ author's choice, any +/ any, green flags (vs. red flags)
We are on AO3! If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3, please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2026 collection. See further notes on this option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? You can use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community. Fret not, DW members; we are working on a way to search through old entries for prompts for you! As of right now, the best way to search for a lonely prompt on DW is to search the community’s archive, which can be found [[HERE]].
While the use of LJ's advanced search and DW’s archive are options, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching in the future.
As a friendly reminder about our schedule, Lonely Prompts and sharing completed fills are encouraged on Sundays, while new themes and prompts are posted on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Saturdays are a Free for All day. We'll share our posts on DW and LJ for everyone's convenience. Keep an eye out for notifications!

Lonely Prompts Sunday-Monday, Week 11 [DW Edition]
Mar. 15th, 2026 11:40 pm↑↑↑ Available dates:
March 17 & 19
March 31 & April 2
April 7 & 9
Good... evening? Morning? 6^^;; Looks like it's just another Lonely Prompts Monday, and I'm sure everyone wishes it was still Sunday, right? ♫ (On a positive note, if you're reading this, you've survived the Ides of March!) If this is your first time at
How to look for prompts:
We have plenty of prompts that might just nibble away at your brain today. You can browse through the comm's calendar archive (here on LJ or here on DW) for themed and Free For All posts, or perhaps check out Sunday posts for Lonely Prompt requests. (Or, you can be like me, and try to save interesting prompts as you see 'em... and then end up with multiple text doc files full of [themes + links + prompts] that you can easily look through and search for keywords.) Multiple fills for one prompt are welcome, by the way! Oh, and you are very likely to find some awesome fills to read as well, and wouldn't it be nice to leave a comment on those lovely little writing distractions? ~_^
Whichever you decide to do, prompt or fill (or both), please remember:
1. You can only request five prompts to be filled.
2. You can request no more than three prompts from a particular fandom.
3. You can, however, fill as many prompts in as many fandoms as you'd like!
4. In the subject line, be sure to say whether it is a request or a fill!
5. You must link back to wherever the prompt is in the community archive (whether filling or requesting), and, if you're filling the prompt, please post the fill as a reply to the original prompt.
6. If you are filling an "any/any" prompt, please let us know what fandom you've written it for (or if it's original!).
8. If there are possible triggers in your story, please warn for them in the subject line!
7. If you've filled any lonely prompts in the past week, this is the place to share them!
9. Finally, please remember to add your prompt fills to our AO3 collection: Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2026 collection. See further notes on this option here.

A friendly reminder about our posting schedule: Themed posts for new prompts go up on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Saturdays are a Free for All day for new prompts of any flavor. Sundays are for showing Lonely Prompts some love, whether by requesting for someone to adopt them or by sharing any fills that you've recently completed.
Performing some traffic maintenance today
Mar. 14th, 2026 01:04 pmHappy Saturday!
I'm going to be doing a little maintenance today. It will likely cause a tiny interruption of service (specifically for www.dreamwidth.org) on the order of 2-3 minutes while some settings propagate. If you're on a journal page, that should still work throughout!
If it doesn't work, the rollback plan is pretty quick, I'm just toggling a setting on how traffic gets to the site. I'll update this post if something goes wrong, but don't anticipate any interruption to be longer than 10 minutes even in a rollback situation.

Hello there! ^.^ Come on in and join us for Free for All Saturday. There are no themes to follow for prompts or fills. March 17 & 19
March 31 & April 2
April 7 & 9
April 14 & 16
April 21 & 23
April 28 & 30
I am aware that interest has waned in both hosting locations. If posts are not done, then that more than likely means no one signed up to host for the week...and it is what it is.
Now for why you're probably here. Hello, everyone. I’m
Today’s theme is Markings. These can be physical, symbolic, temporary, or permanent, anything that leaves a visible trace. Think tattoos, scars, birthmarks, paint, ink, magical marks, bruises, or even something drawn in the sand.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full name and fandom's full name for ease in adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Teen Wolf, (pre) Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski, Derek discovers Stiles has a mark meant only for his mate.
+ Hawaii Five-0, Steve McGarrett + Danny Williams, Danny asks about the scars Steve never talks about.
+ Teen Wolf, Erica Reyes/Boyd (Vernon Boyd III), Erica paints a symbol on Boyd before a dangerous mission.
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2026 collection. See further notes on this new option here.

Challenge #62 Update
Mar. 10th, 2026 08:49 pm
Hello dear friends,
I'm taking over mod duties for the rest of this round, in agreement with
Here are the rules again for clarity:
Theme-specific rules for the current challenge:
For this round, each of your fandom icons must contain hearts, flowers, or both in some way. They can be a pattern on clothing, a doodle on a notebook, a foreground texture, or a background texture; or a bouquet, boutonniere, or corsage/wrist corsage. Just so they're visible to the human eye on the finished icon!
General rules for all challenges in this comm:
1. Sign ups will be open to the end of this round (deadline see below).
2. You don't have to sign up, but some people enjoy the challenge of sticking to a theme.
3. Please post your 10 icons either in your graphics journal/community or as a post in this community. If you post in yours, please also make a post here with a link to your journal/community and 3 icons as a preview; and please make the entry public until the round's results are announced.
4. As this is a fandom community, please make fandom-themed icons. You can incorporate stock, but every icon must be primarily fandom-centered.
5. Please use the below template when posting. Remove the space between the last "/" and "textarea".
-> There is no rule that you can only icon two fandoms.
-> There is no rule that you have to sign up or claim anything if you don't want to.
If you have already signed up, and enjoy the fandom(s) you picked, by all means, keep going! If you're not happy and want to change, either let me know or consider your sign-up void. If you have not signed up, you can still sign up - or not. You can also just submit your set at any time before the deadline.
Current sign-ups:
I will move the deadline back by a week to give everyone time to return to normal operation mode here in this comm, as well as for myself, because I already have two challenges in my other comms ending this weekend and I would rather space them out a bit.
New deadline: March 20, 2026 your end-of-day
If you would like an extension after that date, please comment to let me know.
Happy iconing! <3

Thursday ✎ Gold [DW]
Mar. 19th, 2026 12:15 amToday's theme is gold. The metal, the color, figuratively speaking about silence or people's hearts or what have you... Glittering treasure, perchance? Or is it fool's gold? All prompts and fills should feature gold in some way.
Feel free to add specifics to your prompts, like whether you'd prefer a gen fill over something shippy, or if you have a squick or trigger you hope to avoid. Original fiction, fanfiction, and fanfic crossovers are always welcome. ~_^
Just a few rules:

Some examples to get things started...

+ The Librarian(s) (TV movies and series), any +/ any, having a golden touch
+ author's choice, any (+/ any), winning a golden award/trophy or attending an awards ceremony
We are on AO3! If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3, please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2026 collection. See further notes on this option here.
